Save Our Planet and Our Trees
According to Global Forest Resource Assessment Of 2005, 3 to 6 billion trees are cut down per year from our primary forest for the consumption of woodfuel (charcoal and other energy uses) roundwood (paper and other non-lumber products) and sawnwood (lumber). How can we help save our trees? Well, we can start by resorting to electronic books or ebooks rather than buying paper books which are even more expensive than ebooks. Even if we print our ebooks out and use some copy papers, the pages are less than what physical books are made of. Electronic publications and the storage of this voluminous amount of information is very minimal in comparison to the mountains of printed paper pages from ebooks. Better way to do it is to save your ebook in your computer and read it from there to even save more paper. What about electricity? Well, we’re only focusing on saving trees at this point. We all know the importance of saving electricity and power at this time, however, people can live without electricity, but they cannot live without oxygen that we mostly get from trees.

Besides saving our trees and planet, here are other advantages of ebooks:

1.) You save money-no mailing, no postage, no handling, no printing costs

2.) Easily downloadable formats for hand readers, computers and various devices.

3.) Much faster to publish than paperback books and has low overhead costs overall

4.) Easily available internationally – electronic editions can be accessed from any part of the world and read from any computer connected to the Internet. The e-book is available around the world.

5.) It can be used for multimedia and varying format options – an electronic book or e-journal, music, graphics, animation, audio and interactive clickable features can be placed on cd-roms and dvd or even email.

6.) Most traditional newspapers and magazines today publish in an electronic form on the Web where access is typically “free” or available through a free membership. This also is at a great cost savings to the publisher as well as the readers.

Why am I promoting ebooks? Well, since I’m an environmentalist and a business man, here is my honest answer, to save our planet and trees and to promote my Free ebook. Read it for free and save a tree.
